Coming Together To Support Each Other
Ability Talks assembles the Blind, Low Vision and Deafblind community together to strengthen the connections to one another while empowering everyone’s journey to independence, through shared experiences. Here, you will find compassion, understanding and fellow individuals looking to forge a bond through support, education, and advocacy. In addition to our general meetings, guest speakers attend often to share valuable information with us and highlight important topics that affect our community.
Not sure if this group is right for you? Consider whether or not you fit into the following categories:
- Blind, Visually Impaired/Low-Vision or Deafblind
- Currently adjusting to gradual loss of function or sudden loss of function
- Seeking information, resources, and tools for our community
- Seeking support and human connections
- Seeking information or connections for a Family member or friends of a Blind, Visually Impaired/Low-Vision or Deafblind individual
If you are interested, please join Ability Talks for one of our meetings, currently held virtually on Zoom every other Saturday, at 4 pm. Anyone connected to our community or seeking out support is welcome. If you still are not sure about joining one of our meetings, reach out to us and we would be happy to chat with you to answer any questions you might have.
