Vancouver, WA – We are excited to announce that Activate Inclusion co-founder, Matthew Hines, was recently appointed to his first term, representing Clark County, on the SW Washington Advisory Council on Aging and Disability. Matthew has began meeting with agency staff and council members to catch up on local initiatives as well as needs which require immediate attention in our community. As a result of his appointment, Matthew has also been appointed to the advocacy and outreach sub-committee of the advisory council, to assist in coordinating more opportunities to connect with our community and the needs of our citizens.
“I am appreciative of the opportunity to serve our Senior and citizens with Disabilities of Southwest Washington. It is my hope that I can utilize my experience to elevate the work of our amazing group of council members in the areas of improving community service offerings as well as advocating for expansion of policies and programs which fill the gaps of inequity that exist in our community. I also look forward to driving the expansion of disability representation on the council and through its governing agency as well.”
